Panchromatic
Panchromatic imagery refers to the remote sensing information which captures the wide range of visible as well as near-infrared wavelengths within a single spectral range. Contrary to multispectral imagery that makes use of different bands for getting the information, panchromatic imagery uses a broad band to create high-resolution monochrome images. Panchromatic data is widely used in the sphere of satellite imaging, mapping of aerial photographs, GIS, land cover mapping, urban planning, environmental monitoring, and image interpreting. Panchromatic data helps to provide relevant information about roads, buildings, vegetation patterns, water bodies, etc. Moreover, it is often utilized for image fusion and pan-sharpening. Due to the high spatial resolution of panchromatic imagery, it is helpful for accurate mapping, efficient extraction of features, change detection, infrastructure evaluation, and geospatial data interpretation.

Panchromatic imagery refers to high resolution remote sensing imagery that is created by collecting data from a wide spectrum of light within a single spectral band. It is commonly produced with the help of satellites and aerial sensors and provides black and white images of the Earth's surface. Panchromatic data is widely used in GIS, satellite image interpretation, cartography, land-use mapping, urban planning, agriculture, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure monitoring. Due to its high spatial resolution, panchromatic imagery allows for detecting surface features of different kinds such as buildings, roadways, field boundaries, coastlines, and other geographically important objects in a very clear way. Also, it plays a significant part in pan-sharpening processes used for getting an enhanced image with spatial details. In geospatial processes, panchromatic data is used for image interpretation, feature extraction, change detection, mapping, and high-resolution monitoring of the Earth. It helps to conduct GIS-related work with greater spatial detail than possible through any single multispectral band.
